1976 – 2020
The best friend. The nicest person. The sweetest smile. An amazing mom.
That’s how people described Jaime. She had a way of putting everyone at ease. Her smile and her laugh made everyone around her smile and laugh.
She had a high, sweet voice that led people on the phone to think they were talking to someone 20 years younger.
She was beautiful. The whole package.
When she was diagnosed in 2017 with breast cancer, she amazed everyone, including breast cancer doctors and nurses, with how much she continued to smile. She asked nurses in the infusion center about their lives while the harsh chemicals dripped their way into her body.
Nothing made her happier than spending time with her family, especially her son.
Jaime wanted to make the world a better place, especially for people struggling with poverty and social disparities. She worked in non-profits geared toward providing social services for people in need. She was a founding board member of the non-profit Friends of Padhar Schools, which works to provide educational opportunities for children in rural India.
